The Weekend of Labor
I've been googled. This website came up. It is not me. What nerve, ripping off my name for economic gain.
HEMATOMA UPDATE: Knot is smaller, but ankle is swollen. Bruise has developed, varying shades of purple and yellow. Sickening. Shorts and knee-length skirts totally out of the question for at least two weeeks, if I am to avoid causing widespread panic.

So I spent most of the holiday weekend showing Greg the manifold wonders of the City of Angels. (see photos of handsome man at right). Walking up and down Rodeo Drive (where store employees, apologies to Beantown's Newbury Street, are extremely helpful and unpretentious, despite the fact that their work wardrobe is probably worth more than my extended family's land holdings), searching for a better view of the Hollywood sign, eating at IHOP twice, attending PCC, setting foot in the Pacific for the first time ever, assembling aforementioned Ikea bookshelf of horrors and viewing Superman on the IMAX big screen (which boasts a 6-story screen, even though the movie only filled about 2 floors).
Now, I'm filling my cube o' wonders and trying to make my apartment (also pictured at right, from the outside), lived in for exactly two weeks now, look like a place a new roommate might actually want to help pay for eventually.
Totally unrelated sidenote so great I have to mention it (non-cat people stop here): Tidy Cat litter now makes a formula for small spaces. IT WORKS. I have tried at least four different litters, including the all-natural, made-from-orange-rinds kind (which also worked, but is hard to find in L.A.), but this is my favorite. Smells pleasant in and of itself, clumps so hard you could play a game of catch with the formerly-liquid portions, and is remarkable enough that I would chronicle it on a publicly accessible blog with my name on it. So there.
Second near-week of work 13 hours away. Thought of Liza yesterday when Rankin spoke of the revival happening in China, with thousands of life changes happening daily and governmental crackdowns right behind them.

I cannot believe you've turned into a cat person. I just can't.
